Meet Isabel – Naturopath
I am a naturopath with a clinical focus in the often unseen and under‑held postpartum period. My experience spans private clinical practice, detoxification retreats, and apothecary-based care, and I currently teach and supervise naturopathy students at the National Centre of Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University.
At the heart of my work lies a devotion to women in the postpartum season; a time of profound physiological, emotional, and identity transition that is too often minimised or ignored. My approach to postpartum care is informed by traditional wisdom, contemporary research, and a deep respect for the nervous system, endocrine balance, and the slow rebuilding of the maternal body and spirit.
Post Partum Naturopath
I am a mother myself, to two beautiful daughters, and my own passage from maiden to mother has been the most humbling and transformative education of my life. It has been a landscape of growth and grief, tenderness and rage, wonder and exhaustion. Through this transition, I have come to understand motherhood not as a role we step into, but as an ongoing becoming, one that reshapes our bodies, our brains, our relationships, and our sense of self. Matrescence continues to inform how I practise, teach, and hold space for others: with gentleness, depth, and an unwavering belief that mothers deserve care that is as layered, complex, and evolving as they are.
